Top 10 Smoke Spots in Final Fantasy VII

Final Fantasy VII is still my favourite game of all time. I cannot begin to describe what it means to me and how magical it and its locations all feel to me. So I did the most obvious thing and made a list of all the best smoke spots in the game.

In no particular order:

1. The water tower in Nibelheim under a starry night.
   Practically canon as a smoke spot cause Cloud and Tifa come here often. Beautiful sky, soft glowing lights, a nice haven located in a peaceful little town.
2. The Mako Fountain in Mt. Nibel.
   What could be better than lighting up while basking in the beauty of the lifestream? Watching as the Mako condenses into Materia and reflecting on the cycle of life on Gaia.
3. Junon Coast.
   Junon's coastline may be ruined by Shinra but there's still a beautiful patch left and Mr. Dolphin lives there! Even in the horrible underbelly of industrialisation there's good places left that are worth fighting for.
4. Pathway to Mt. Corel.
   Gonna be real, there's nothing magical about this spot in particular but I always loved how pretty this area looks with the setting sun in the background. Would love to sit on that hill and gaze into the distance while high as fuck.
5. The Cosmo Candle.
   Come on, this one was obvious. Cosmo Canyon is one of the most incredible looking locations in the game and there's a big campfire to sit around. Immaculate vibes.
6. Bugenhagen's Planetarium.
   Planetariums are already incredible cool and the only thing better is being incredible high in a planetarium. Witness the entire solar system dancing around while you drift through a sea of stars.
7. Peak of the Da-Chao statue.
   Wutai is already an amazing place with a lot of incredible sights but imagine sitting up here getting blazed off your tits with Da-Chao.
8. The cabin at the base of Mt. Gaia.
   It may not look like much, just a little cabin with a gentle warmth, but context is important. The second picture is where that cabin is located. Something about a warm cabin in the middle of a snowstorm seems like the perfect cozy place for a good smoke with the party.
9. Cloud's Mind Palace.
   You got trippy visuals, you got existential questions, you got a journey of self-discovery, it's all here. Only issue is the music which ruins the vibe with a sense of dread and paranoia. Needs more of a slow prog rock song instead, like Promenader by Ragnarök.
10. Aerith's House.
    Look at this paradise in the middle of the slums. Flowers still bloom here, even next to a giant reactor that's sucking the life out of the planet. Sitting in the garden with Aerith and Zack and Cloud and having a smoke would be the chillest thing in the world.
